Export your translation

Where it is saved

In Export → Save to you choose a folder (for example D:\Translated games). Inside, a folder with the game’s name is created:

<chosen folder>/<Game>/
  <Game>-pc/      PC game with the translation applied
  <Game>-patch/   patch to copy and paste
  <Game>.apk      Android

Exporting again replaces that game’s previous export.

Language patch

The lightest option to share. To install it, the player copies the patch’s game folder into the game folder and accepts merging and replacing. Each patch includes a «README» file in its language with instructions to install and remove it.

PC game

A clean copy of the game with the translation already applied and the language selector in its options. Images are compressed so it takes less space, without changing their on-screen size.

Android APK

1. Click Build APK. The Android options open: name, version, orientation, icon (by default the game’s), menu button and compression.
2. The first time, the Android tools are downloaded (several GB) and you are asked to accept their terms.
3. The APK is built with the same Ren’Py version as the game and checked before it is delivered.

Exporting the APK is a feature of the Supporter plan or higher. If the game is very large, the Pro plan lets you split it into parts.

If you already had an older APK of the same game installed with a different signature, uninstall it before installing the new one.
