Privacy policy

This page explains what data the TraduGame website (tradugame.com) keeps, why, and what you can do about it. The TraduGame app you install on your PC works on its own and does not send your games or translations to this website.

What we keep

• Your account: display name, username, email, preferred language, the bio you write and, if you use one, your password (stored only as a one-way hash).
• If you log in with Google or Patreon: your account identifier on that service, the email it shares, your name and profile picture. We never see your Google or Patreon password.
• If you support the project on Patreon: what Patreon lets the creator view and keep: member identifier, name, email (if shared), tier, support status, amount, and pledge and charge dates. We also keep the change history so the data isn’t lost if Patreon becomes unavailable.
• What you post in the community: topics, replies, edits and reports.
• Security: login date, your browser and a fingerprint of your IP address (not the plain IP), to detect abuse and attacks. They are deleted after 12 months.

What we use it for

So you can log in and post, to show your support tier next to your posts, to send you necessary emails (confirming your email, password recovery, moderation notices), to moderate the community and to protect the website. We don’t sell your data or use it for advertising.

Cookies

We only use necessary cookies: the session cookie, one against form forgery, one for your preferred language and one to show notices after a change. We don’t use third-party advertising or analytics cookies.

Who it is shared with

• Hostinger, which hosts the website, the database and the email.
• Google and Patreon, only if you choose to log in with them or connect your account.
• YouTube or Vimeo videos in tutorials load from their servers when you open that page (YouTube in privacy-enhanced mode).

How long

As long as you have the account. If you delete it, your personal data and logins are removed; your replies remain as «Deleted user» so conversations don’t break. Encrypted backups are rotated and old ones are deleted over time.

Your rights

From My account → My data you can download your data or delete your account. You can edit your profile at any time. For any other request, write to the site’s contact email.
